So another TT has been and gone, and this was my fourth visit to the Island for the world famous road race!
This year, as usual, didn’t disappoint in terms of action and drama from the riders and the event its self. For the first time in the 105 years that the TT has been running, the Senior race had to be cancelled, due to the weather conditions around the Island.
Whilst I was at the Isle of Man TT, I almost exclusively used my hired 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII, which I got from lensesforhire. This lens performed really really well and has left me wanting to buy one! It was great for the races where light was beginning to fade, as well as allowing for some full frame images of the bikes at a distance.
I managed to fill all my memory cards in the four days that I was there, and amongst the few thousand images, I managed to get one or two half decent ones!
Here are some of my Favourites

Welcome to my new site!
I decided that I should probably make myself a website to hold all of my photos and not just rely on my Flickr account!
So, since this is what all the cool kids are doing I have added this blog where I will talk about my photos and the places I go to take them. I have only had my SLR since December, 5 months at the time of writing so all comments, feedback and critique on my photos are very welcome.
The next post I add will probably be for the 2012 Isle of Man TT road races. I’m hiring a Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII from the guys at lensesforhire who so far seem very good! The lens comes next week so I’ll hopefully get a day or so practice with it before we head out to the TT.
The TT is the reason I decided to get into photography so Im really excited about taking my camera out there for the first time and trying to get some really good shots
Ill leave you with my favourite shot from last year, of TT legend John McGuiness, taken on a point and shoot.
